Traffic was slow following an incident on the M20 this morning.

A collision was reported by Highways England shortly after 8am on the London bound carriageway between junction six for Maidstone and seven for Detling Hill.

The road management company confirmed there was a small incident involving two vehicles, partially blocking the outside lane briefly.

The shunt resulted in no injuries and both drivers drove away from the scene shortly after.

Kent Police were also called to a broken down vehicle on the carriageway, which has been moved.

Motorists reported delays of up to half an hour on the A249 Detling Hill heading toward Maidstone town centre.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time on their journey.
