M20 London-bound reopens at Junction 7 but delays still remain

The M20 has reopened after a major fuel spillage.

A clean-up operation is underway but Highways England has warned delays are building in the area.

The incident occurred at Junction 7 (A249) London-bound at about 5am.

Meanwhile, there is very slow traffic due to an earlier accident on the M20 London-bound between J5 for the A20 at Aylesford and J4 for Leybourne.

Shortly before 7am there was a collision involving three cars, one of which was a police car.

According to police, one lane was closed for approximately 40 minutes while the carriageway was made safe and no injuries were reported.
