Kent test: Day two

Nearly 12,000 pupils across Kent will today be sitting the second part of the Kent Test. The children, the majority of whom are aged 10, completed the verbal and non-verbal reasoning papers yesterday. They have a maths test and writing compostition to do today.

The test will decide which children will be offered a place at a Kent grammar school. Around a quarter of the county’s children pass the test.

Families will find out whether or not their children have been selected for grammar school in about a month's time.
