Future looking good for dancer Archie

Ever since he watched Angelina Ballerina at the age of two, Archie Sherman has been inspired to dance.

Now his dreams have come true with the offer of a place at the Royal Ballet School in London from September.

Archie, who is 11, has been dancing since he was three.

His mum, Tara Sherman, from London Road in Maidstone, said: “Archie’s delighted. He will board at the school and have his academic lessons there as well as being taught ballet to an advanced level.”

Archie, who used to attend St Peter’s Primary School in Sandling, has been practising for around six hours a week at the Hilton Hall Dance Academy, where he also learns jazz, tap and modern theatre dance.

Mrs Sherman said:“He’s wanted to dance ever since he watched Angelina Ballerina when he was about two.”

Move over Billy Elliot, here comes Archie!
