Former KCC family centre in Larkfield re-listed for auction with Clive Emson

A former council family centre is back up on the market – despite only being sold two months ago for half a million pounds.

The vacant Larkfield Family Support Centre, in Martin Square, Larkfield, was auctioned off in March and went for around £100,000 more than the asking price.

The site was sold for £519,000 – however the buyer did not complete.

Speaking previously, auctioneer Kevin Gilbert said: "Clearly bidders saw the potential here, which was why it went for so much above the guide.

"It is close to the Martin Square shops, health centre, library and other amenities. We had a number of serious bidders and it shows that for the right site the market is in rude health."

Despite this, it is now being re-listed with land and property auctioneers Clive Emson after the earlier sale fell through.

The 0.38-acre site, off Kingfisher Road, is marketed as having possible redevelopment potential, subject to the necessary permissions being obtained.

It is being listed at a guide price of £400,000 or more and is among 134 lots up for grabs at this month’s auction.

The sale will be held on Thursday, June 15.
