A car got stuck in water up to its wing mirrors after a road flooded.

Bull Road, into Birling, near West Malling, suffers every time it rains heavily but is usually passable with care.

Rain overnight, however, left one car in trouble. Rescuers were trying to get the car out at about 7am today.

The same thing happened in February last year, pictured left.

This morning, motorists also reported problems along Seven Mile Lane at Wrotham, with water on the road under the railway bridge.

Maidstone fire brigade said they hadn't been called out to any serious flooding overnight in the town.
