Firefighters called to caravan on fire in Black Mill Lane between Headcorn and Staplehurst

A fire which started in a caravan today may have been started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to a layby in Black Mill Lane, between Headcorn and Staplehurst at 3.58pm today.

Two engines attended the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames.

Police have been alerted, due to the suspicious nature of the fire, which may have been started deliberately.

Firefighters remain at the scene.
