It's been a disused eyesore for months but the former Renault garage in Maidstone could be reborn as a drive-thru McDonald’s.
The Kent Messenger has learnt that burger giant is in talks with owners of the old showroom, on the corner of The Broadway and Barker Road.
The site has been vacant since August last year when Renault moved to Bircholt Road in Park Wood.
McDonald’s have not yet submitted a planning application to Maidstone council, but a spokesman confirmed: “We are looking at this site and are currently speaking to the owners. I can confirm we have not yet submitted any plans.”
There is speculation the plans would be for a drive-thru, but the company would not be drawn on this.
