A&E doctors are also involved in the response at the site in Hermitage Lane, Barming.

A hospital spokesman said: "We are working with our partners from the emergency services to test some plans.

"This is a routine exercise and not in response to a specific threat.

"Our staff undertake regular training for emergencies during the year and is important they work with emergency services to be ready in the event of a real incident."
