Police and paramedics called to three-car crash on A229 Blue Bell Hill near Maidstone

Emergency services have been called to the scene after a three-car crash this morning.

Police and paramedics were called to to the A229 Blue Bell Hill, near Maidstone, at around 8am after reports of a collision.

A witness said it happened near the bus stop, just before the petrol station, between the M2 Junction 3 and M20 Junction 6.

One lane was shut temporarily while the incident was being dealt with, but has since reopened.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 8.35am to a collision on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A229, involving three vehicles.

"Officers and paramedics attended the scene where one of the drivers reported a neck injury.

"She has been taken to a local hospital for further medical attention. The vehicles were moved from the carriageway to await recovery."

The ambulance service have been approached for more information.
