More than 40 police officers swooped on a Maidstone bar to carry out a drugs raid last night.

The Source Bar in Rose Yard was targeted at 11.30pm on Tuesday, July 7, by around 40 to 50 officers.

A police spokesman said a small quantity of drugs had been found and was now being analysed.

Six people, four men and two women, were arrested and are being questioned by Maidstone police.

According to the club's website Tuesday nights are 'Kent's premier student night for indie and electronic music'.
