Don't miss the KM - on sale now

This week's main story in the Maidstone edition is the jailing of a cowardly 21-year-old who robbed two teenagers at knifepoint in a secluded town centre spot. We also return to the issue of emergency surgery being moved from Maidstone Hospital - the head of the hospital trust has now said he would personally rather keep emergency surgery at the hospital until the new Pembury Hospital opens in 2011.

In our Malling edition we have a candid interview with the chief executive of Tonbridge and Malling council, who admits a cash crisis could lead to tax increases and redundancies.

In Weald, we interview a family whose address was included in the list of alleged BNP party members leaked on the internet. The former owner of their house was once a party member - and now they're under seige by the paparazzi.

Elsewhere, the build-up to Christmas is officially under way and we have pictures of Santa's arrival in town. We also have picture round-ups of Children In Need and the KM Big Quiz - so if you were involved in a team, you might spot yourself.

There's also more great discounts in our Let's Do Lunch offer - this week you can find out all about the Early Bird in Grove Green and take advantage of discounts and other offers at more than 40 bars, restaurants, pubs and cafes across the area.

So don't miss your Kent Messenger, available tomorrow.
