Unswept chimneys continue to cause concern for firefighters after another call out.

Crews were called to Station Hill, East Farleigh, at 7.45pm yesterday, to reports of smoke coming from a chimney.

They left the scene at 8.10pm.

The incident comes after Kent Fire and Rescue issued a warning for people to ensure their chimneys were clear of soot or ash before lighting open fires.

KFRS said it has seen an increase in chimney fires, with 11 reported across the county last month.
