A crash has closed part of a road near the M20 this afternoon.

Two cars have collided in Forstal Road, Aylesford, just after 3.30pm and part of the road has been closed. It is near the Running Horse roundabout, connecting the M20, and A229.

A police spokesman said a Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Focus were involved. Kent Fire and Rescue Service are on the scene and are having to cut the roof off one of the cars to free an occupant.

It is not believed that anyone in the crash suffered serious injuries.
