CCTV appeal after theft and assault at Sainsbury's Local in Tonbridge Road, Maidstone

Officers investigating a reported theft and assault against a supermarket worker in Maidstone have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

At around 7.30pm on June 17, a man entered the Sainsbury’s Local store in Tonbridge Road.

It is reported he placed a number of meat items into a bag before attempting to leave without paying.

The suspect was then challenged by a member of staff. It is alleged the suspect pushed the employee and made repeated threats to punch him, before leaving the scene with the stolen items.

Officers would like to identify the person pictured in the CCTV images, who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
