Catapults seized by police following reports of antisocial behaviour in Ringlestone, Maidstone

A number of catapults and prohibited items have been seized by police.

The Crime Suppression Unit visited the housing estate on Tuesday.

Warnings have also been issued to households in partnership with Golding Homes, who own several properties in the area.

Kent police tweeted that a number of stop and searches were conducted, which led to the seizure of catapults and "other prohibited items".

Terry Spillard, assistant director of customers at Golding Homes, said: “We’re working closely with Kent Police to help address the issues of antisocial behaviour in Ringlestone caused by some individuals living in the area.

"We’ve sent warning letters to three of our customers about this unacceptable behaviour and will continue to monitor the situation.”

The force have been approached for more information.
