Cannabis farm discovered at property in Bank Street, Maidstone

Police are investigating after a cannabis farm was discovered in a town centre.

Officers were called to Bank Street, in Maidstone, at around 2.15pm on Saturday where they recovered a number of plants from a property.

More than 1,000 plants, along with some cultivation equipment, were seized.

Officers headed to the property after receiving a call from a member of the public.

They are now investigating to identify those responsible for the property.

Kent Police's Special's force tweeted: "Maidstone specials assisted Kent Police Maidstone with a substantial cannabis grow discovery in the town. ‘The grass is not always greener’."

No arrests have been made.
