Cannabis plants found at home in Plains Avenue, Maidstone

Police found cannabis plants after raiding a home following a tip-off from neighbours.

At around 2am on Tuesday (September 12) people living in Plains Avenue, Maidstone witnessed a neighbour acting suspiciously.

One said they saw the man walking back and forth carrying items from their home to their car.

In the morning people were saying leaves and scraps of tin foil were left across the pavement.

Police were called at 2.20pm.

Officers entered the building and found quantities of cannabis growing in the home, all of which were seized.

No arrests have yet been made but inquiries to identify the owner of the home are underway.

Fire crews were also spotted along the road at around 5.20pm acting upon a call of smoke in the area.

Two engines were dispatched but it was later found to be a false alarm and 10 minutes later the incident was considered finished.
