A biker was flown to a London hospital with serious injuries after he hit the central reservation on the M20.

The man struck the middle barrier near Junction 8, for Leeds Castle, just before 5pm yesterday.

The London-bound carriageway was closed so the air ambulance could land. South East Coast Ambulance and Kent Police also attended.

The casualty was taken to Kings College Hospital. His injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

No other vehicles were involved.

All lanes were cleared by 6pm.
