Big names lined up cricket spectacular

A STAR studded Lashings CC team will take on an Old England XI at the Mote in Maidstone later this year in support of the UK Brain Tumour Society.

The ex-England side will be skippered by Alan Igglesden, the former Kent bowler who is himself a brain tumour sufferer, and will include Derek Underwood, Devon Malcolm, Matthew Fleming, Phil Tufnell, Alan Wells, Vince Wells, Martin McCague, Tim Munton and Angus Fraser.

The match, scheduled for Friday, August 20, at 2pm, will be followed by a celebrity ball to be held at the Ramada Hotel at Hollingbourne, near Maidstone.

Admission to the match will be £10 for adults, with various concessions for children and OAPs, while tickets to the four-course dinner and ball, which is limited to 360 diners, can be obtained from Anne-Marie Dickinson priced £125 a head. For further details, telephone 01959 563003.
