Emerging from the tunnel at Twickenham will be the proudest moment in the history of Aylesford Bulls RFC, according to head coach Glyn Mitchell.

Mitchell’s side will take on Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday in the final of the national RFU Intermediate Cup at the home of England rugby, kick-off 3pm.

The big games, however, do not end there as last Saturday’s London 2 South East win at Brighton - Bulls’ 15th straight victory - ensured a promotion play-off against Hampshire side Trojans at the Jack Williams Memorial Ground next weekend.

Mitchell (pictured) said: "Saturday will certainly be the proudest day for the club and for me in my coaching career.

"What we have achieved this year, in my first year with the club, has been remarkable.

"To have a promotion play-off to follow a game at Twickenham is a fantastic achievement."

Mitchell added: "At the start of the season, promotion was the big goal but to borrow a line from the president, this Twickenham game is the icing but the cake’s not until next week."
