Addiction charity's showcase

An exhibition showcasing the work of people struggling with addiction opens in Tonbridge next Wednesday.

It’s organised by health and social care charity, CRI, at its West Kent Recovery Service in the High Street.

The Recovery Journey Exhibition features paintings, creative writing and photographs by service users and volunteers who will be available to discuss their experiences.

It’s part of an open day which takes place from 10am to 2pm.

Lee Ashmore, CRI West Kent services manager said: "We’re excited to be able to educate the public on who we are and what we do to help people in the local community struggling with addiction.

"I encourage anyone interested in learning more about addiction, volunteering or community services, to come along and hear first-hand stories of hope and aspiration."

CRI is a free service which provides treatment and support for anyone aged 18 and over who is struggling with addiction.

It also offers help to the sufferer’s family and friends.
