A NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch volunteer from Maidstone has been awarded a certificate in appreciation of his commitment and dedication.

Michael Lowe was awarded with the certificate Ch Inspector Mark Chambers, on behalf of Supt Steve Corbishley, at a ceremony at Maidstone Police Station, attended by other volunteers and Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Officer, Lorraine Hemphrey.

Mr Lowe first joined Neighbourhood Watch in 1994 and over the years has undertaken a number of different duties, including collating crime data and circulating it to other volunteers on a regular basis.

He has also passed on huge experience to many other Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators.

Neighbourhood Watch liaison officer Lorraine Hemphrey said: “I am very pleased that Michael has been formally recognised for his work and commitment to Maidstone Neighbourhood Watch.

"He is an integral part of our team and has been pivotal to the success we have enjoyed.”
