Gillingham have signed West Brom defender Donervon Daniels on loan until Janaury.

The 20-year-old central defender, who came through the youth ranks at West Brom, goes straight into the squad for Tuesday night's game against Stevenage,

He becomes Peter Taylor's fourth signing since taking over the management reigns, following the arrivals in recent weeks of Craig Fagan, John Mousinho and Elliott Hewitt.

Daniels has worked under Taylor before, with the England under-20s and spent time on loan at Tranmere in League 1 last season.

He met up with his new team-mates on Monday, in time to prepare for the midweek League 1 clash against Stevenage at Priestfield.

The young defender comes in to challenge Leon Legge and Adam Barrett for the central defensive position. His deal runs until Friday, January 3, when the Gills face Wolves live on Sky Sports.
