Horsham v Margate
Margate stand-in boss Terry Yorath says he is close to completing the capture of a "very experienced" utility player ahead of the Ryman League, Premier Division game against Horsham at Worthing on Saturday.
The former Welsh boss said: "We want to bring people in, and I have picked out players I think we should go for, and spoke to the chairman about it earlier this week.
"We are near to signing one of them, and it could happen by the weekend.
"He is with another club at the moment, but is a player I have worked with before, and that people should know "
Meanwhile, Yorath confirmed the club had received 10 applications "including some surprising names" for the vacancy at Hartsdown Park.
He added: "We are working on a day-to-day-basis at the moment, and looking to get a result on Saturday".
Horsham are ground-sharing with their West Sussex rivals, while they looking for a new home. They sold their Queen Street ground for re-development, but were unable to move because of planning difficulties.
Margate have no fresh injury worries as they bid to end a run of four successive defeats.
