Women's weekend hockey round-up

CANTERBURY are safely in mid-table and lie 10 points clear of the Slazenger English Premier Division relegation play-off spot with three games remaining after their 2-0 loss at Slough.

Sevenoaks ended a disappointing weekend with a 2-1 defeat against St Austell on Sunday.

Oaks took the lead through Jet Van Zalen on 11 minutes.

The home side pulled level through Linda Webb before Clare Mitchell got the winner after 57 minutes.

On Saturday, Sevenoaks played out a 0-0 draw against Exe.
