Wings striker backed to find goal touch

WELLING UNITED manager Adrian Pennock has backed striker Paul Booth to rediscover his goalscoring form at Park View Road.

The club's leading scorer has netted all but one of his 14 goals this season away from home and continued his barren spell in the defeat against Grays at the weekend.

Pennock said: "I can't understand it. Paul apologised after the Grays game but I told him not to do that.

"The pleasing thing is that he is getting into the right areas and creating the chances, he just needs that bit of luck.

"I can never knock him, his work rate was spot-on last Saturday. I just think it might be one of those things that his goals tend to come away from home."
