Bognor Regis Town v Welling United

WELLING boss Adrian Pennock has warned his team to avoid an FA Trophy hangover after their quarter-final exit on Sunday.

The Wings went out against holders Grays but Pennock wants an immediate response to get their Conference South promotion-chasing campaign back on track.

Pennock said: "We don’t want to have a hangover, we need to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible.

"It was a good run in the FA Trophy and we’re all disappointed but we’ve still got lots to play for."

Pennock is keen to see an improvement in his side’s defending as they have let in 10 goals in the last three games - starting with Saturday's trip to Bognor.

"There’s a lot of football to be played yet and all of the top teams have to face each other," he added.

"We need to get back to keeping clean sheets again. If we can do that, then we will win games because we know that we can score plenty of goals."

* The home game with Thurrock will take place at Dartford’s Princes Park stadium on Tuesday (7.45pm) as Park View Road is still without floodlights.
