Win squeezes Margate into top 10

Margate 3Scarborough 1

Margate won their final Nationwide Conference game of the season to finish 10th in their second season in the league.

Scarborough had the better of the first half, but went behind in the 20th minute after Mohammed Sillah was booked for bringing down Leon Braithwaite.

Adrian Clarke's free kick hit the post but Sam Sodje netted the rebound.

Two minutes in to the second half Margate doubled their lead with an excellent move.

Sodje's shot was turned on by Leon Braithwaite and Jean-Michel Sigere stooped to head in from close range.

Scarborough substitute Gary Cohen pulled a goal back but on 74 minutes Sigere put Braithwaite to run through to out-pace the defence and slot the third.
