Week off to prepare for vital clash with strugglers

Glamorgan v Kent

KENT will enjoy a week off before their next competitive action against struggling Glamorgan in the C&G Trophy at Sophia Gardens on Sunday.

Kent sit on equal third on points in the southern conference after recent wins over Ireland and previously unbeaten Sussex, but an inferior run-rate pushes them down to fifth.

Spitfires still have a mathematical chance of overhauling leaders Sussex if they win their two remaining games, so victory in Wales is essential.

Glamorgan have just one win from seven C&G Trophy matches.

Kent from: Dexter, Stevens, van Jaarsveld, Key, Kemp, Walker, Hall, Tredwell, O’Brien, Patel, Khan, Cook, Denly.
