Kent Spitfires v Surrey Browncaps

Spitfires make their first personnel change of the Twenty20 Cup campaign tonight when 2008 beneficiary Matt Walker makes his southern division season's debut in place of all-rounder Justin Kemp.

Walker, fresh from a one-day trophy hundred for the Kent 2nd XI, comes in for Kemp who suffered back spasms following Tuesday night's six-run defeat to leaders Middlesex in Uxbridge.

With the possibility of short boundaries on the Old Dover Road side of the St Lawrence ground Walker's left-handedness could well prove a tactical gain as Kent bid to beat basement side Surrey to remain in the top two automatic qualification places.

The visitors, with one win from their eight previous starts, are out of contention and will have nothing other than pride to play for, but Kent will know not to take them lightly.

With the likes of James Benning, Scott Newman, Mark Ramprakash and Ali Brown in their number, Browncaps have sufficient batting firepower to blow Kent away and leave their quarter-final hopes in tatters.

The action in Canterbury is scheduled for a 5.30pm start and gates open at 3.30pm.

Kent from: Key, Denly, van Jaarsveld, Walker, Stevens, Mahmood, Jones, McLaren, Arafat, Tredwell, Cook, Joseph.
