OFFICIALS and fans at Invicta Dynamos have spoken of their relief that plans to impose an age limit on their league have been scrapped.

The English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) decided at its AGM in Telford not to make the English National Ice Hockey League (ENIHL) an under-25s league next season after the move faced widespread opposition.

The EIHA said it will review the proposed age limit for the following (2008-9) season in order to encourage the development of younger players.

Coach Kevin Parrish said he was thankful the league's governing body had listened to its clubs and members over the under-25s limit.
