Kent spinner James Tredwell has been rewarded for his England exploits over the past year with an England Increment Contract by the ECB.
Non-contracted England players earn the contracts, which are one step below a central contract, through a points system based on appearances.
Five points are awarded for a Test appearance and two for a t20 or ODI appearance, with a contract being automatically awarded once a player reaches 20 points during a 12-month contract period.
On Thursday afternoon the ECB announced the 32-year-old New Romney ace, who is currently on England duty at the ICC World t20 in Bangladesh, qualified for his contract after playing three ODIs and a T20 against Australia and three ODIs and three T20s against West Indies during the current contract period.
