THANET boxer Takaloo reclaimed the WBU lightweight title in fine fashion when he stopped Jim Rock in the ninth round in Belfast.

The Margate-based fighter unloaded an explosive right hand which sent Rock sprawling to the canvas.

The Irishman was able to get to his feet but referee Micky Vann had no option but to bring the contest to a halt.

Up to that stage, Takaloo had not had everything his own way by any means in the result appeared to be in the balance.
