GILLS boss Mark Stimson may resist the urge to sign Stevenage’s Stuart Lewis following some impressive displays from his current midfielder players.

Gillingham had an offer for the midfielder turned down during the last transfer window and Stimson admits there are other areas that may need more attention.

He said: “Whether we bid again I don’t know because we’ve had some good performances in the centre of the pitch.”

Stimson may still return to his former club for other players with keeper Alan Julian rumoured to be of interest.
