Ski club in medal winning form

BROMLEY Ski Club scooped a host of medals at the Special Olympics National Alpine competition in Italy.

Sixteen skiiers from Bromley represented the South East at the competition in the Aosta Valley region of Italy.

The club produced six winners in various disciplines. Jane Andrews took gold in the Intermediate Super Giant Slalom and was also runner up in the Intermediate Slalom and Intermediate Giant Slalom.

Ayesha Franks was the winner of the Intermediate Giant Slalom and came second in the Intermediate Giant Super Slalom.

Other winners were William Cottrell (Intermediate Giant Slalom, Div 5), Alison Tully (Intermediate Slalom, Div 1), Owain Taylor (Intermediate Slalom, Div 1), James Tavener (Intermediate Super Giant Slalom, Div 5).

Anthony Coulon missed gold with second-placed finishes in the Intermediate Slalom (Div 7) and the Intermediate Super Giant Slalom (Div 7).
