Sixes league set for big kick-off

TEAMS are still needed for the new Sheerness Times Guardian Sixes League, which gets underway at Minster College on Monday.

It's already had a great response and the league will be increased to 28 teams if the final few places are filled.

Free kits will be given to every new team that enters the league which will be played on the college’s astroturf pitch.

The sponsorship deal has been agreed by the league organisers, soccersixes, with Nike.

Soccersixes organiser Ross Spacey said: "It means that when teams join they will get a free kit that they can not only play in our league with, but they can also take it home and do what they want with it."

Teams will be able to follow their progress in the Sheerness Times Guardian Sixes League every week in the paper as well as online at www.soccersixes.net.

There is no entry or registration fee, the league will be refereed by qualified officials, and all equipment will be provided.

To register or for more details, call Paul Curran on 0870 3300888.
