Southend United v Gillingham

GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson will have to shuffle his pack for the trip to Southend on Saturday as his team aim to build on their first win of the season.

The 2-1 home win over Walsall gave the Gills some momentum but they will be missing a number of players for the clash at Roots Hall.

Key midfielder Andrew Crofts is on international duty with Wales, while the Priestfield treatment room is heavily populated with players who are doubtful of making the squad – although Jespon was keeping the names of the injured players close to his chest.

Jepson said: "We've got two or three players who are 50-50 at best of making the game and it means I am going to have to shuffle my pack again.

"Hopefully, the players I bring in to the team will have a point to prove to me and the supporters."

The game at Roots Hall kick-offs at 1pm.
