Ryman League Premier Division round-up

THE sending off of defender John Guest contributed to Folkestone Invicta's 3-1 defeat at top-of-the-table Hampton & Richmond Borough on Saturday.

It was goalless when Guest was controversially shown a red card for handball a minute before the break.

Invicta continued to battle and were rewarded when Stuart Myall headed them into a 50th minute lead.

But the league leaders began to make the extra man count and equalised in the 69th minute when Graham Harper smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

It looked like Neil Cugley's men were going to hold out for a battling draw, but substitute John Henry-Hayden put the home side in front with just three minutes to go.

Fellow substitute Luke Fontana rubbed salt into Folkestone's wounds with a third goal in stoppage time.

Bromley chalked up their second win of the season with a 2-1 victory against Maldon at Hayes Lane.

They had to come from behind after a Joe Vines own goal gave the visitors an early lead.

But Fraser Logan equalised on the 23rd minute and top scorer Nic McDonnell scrambled the winner on the stroke of half-time.

Margate failed to hold onto a two goal lead against Slough Town at Hartsdown Park.

Ellis Remy and Ian Hilaire had put Gate in control within the first 22 minutes but Slough hit back with goals in the 26th and 66th minute to snatch a point.
