Relief as Jack is passed fit

Gillingham v Huddersfield Town

GOALKEEPER Kelvin Jack has been passed fit to make his Gillingham debut in this afternoon's season opener against Huddersfield Town at Priestfield.

Jack is one of four debutants for Ronnie Jepson's side, with Duncan Jupp, Mark Bentley, Dean McDonald all handed starts.

The current keeping crisis at the club means that there is no substitute stopper on the bench.

Other new signings Clint Easton and Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu are both on the bench, along with Leon Johnson, Danny Spiller and Alan Pouton.

Gillingham: Jack, Jupp, Cox, Sancho, Jackman, Bentley, Flynn, Crofts, Jarvis, Mulligan, McDonald.
Subs: Easton, Johnson, Spiller, Ndumbu-Nsungu, Pouton.
