Ebbsfleet midfielder George Purcell has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 20-year-old will embark on his third season with the Fleet having already featured 50 times under manager Liam Daish.

Purcell is the 10th player from last season's squad to commit himself for the 2008/09 campaign.

Meanwhile, Defender James Smith won his first international cap on Monday.

Smith played 85 minutes in England C's 2-0 win over Barbados at the National Stadium in Bridgetown.
