Peschisolido's hat-trick humbles Gills

Gillingham 0 Sheffield United 3

A HAT-TRICK from Sheffield United's Paul Peschisolido condemned Gillingham to a disappointing defeat on Saturday.

The Canadian international struck in the 38th, 58th and 66th minutes to put on a dazzling display for the Sky cameras.

His first goal came after he flicked the ball over Gills keeper Nico Vaesen following a good flick on from Wayne Allison.

Then he beat Vaesen again with a diving header before earning the match ball with a shot from a narrow angle after another Allison assist.

But Gillingham should have taken the lead after just 20 seconds, when Mamady Sidibe put his shot straight at Paddy Kenny.

Danny Spiller also came close when his curling shot in the 36th minute came back off the bar.
