FORMER Gillingham favourite Adrian Pennock is expected to find out the date for his testimonial match when he meets up with chairman Paul Scally on Tuesday.

The defender, now on the books at Gravesend & Northfleet, had been hoping for a pre-season date. But, with the club relaying the pitch and building a temporary stand, he knows a midweek date in early-season is more likely.

He said: “I should be sitting down with the club in the next few days to arrange a date for the match, but I hope it will be a Tuesday night in August."

He stressed: "I've been very fortunate to be offered a testimonial match by Gillingham, and I’m grateful. It will be a special moment for me - not least because it will be my 200th, and last, game for the club.”
