ADRIAN PENNOCK: Pleased with away form

Maidenhead v Welling United

WELLING manager Adrian Pennock looks set to hand Daniel Talbot his debut at Maidenhead on Saturday.

Talbot signed for the Wings last week but missed the deadline to play in the club's two Easter matches.

The left-sided midfielder, son of former Arsenal and England star Brian, was released by League Two outfit Rushden & Diamonds and had been on trial with Woking.

Pennock will be without Ashley Probets, who is sidelined with an ankle injury, but Danny Slatter (toe) should recover in time to take his place.

On-loan strike Onome Sodje could also be recalled to the starting line-up after impressing as a substitute during Easter Monday's home reverse to Basingstoke.

Pennock said: "It will be a hard game as Maidenhead are fighting for survival. But if we can get something out of the game then the matches are starting to run out for the teams below us.

"We're away from home and our away form has been excellent so hopefully that can continue."
