COACH Kevin Parrish believes the Medway-based Invicta Dynamos ice hockey team can give Slough Jets a closer game this Sunday.

The Mos began their EPIHL cup campaign with a brace of heavy defeats against the Jets two weeks ago but Parrish believes his squad is in better shape to face up to the EPL favourites.

He said: "I’m just looking for a better performance. We didn’t really know much about Slough beforehand but now we know a little bit more about how they play and where they are dangerous.

"If we can minimise the mistakes, which led to about four or five of their goals, it could be a lot tighter.

"We will have virtually all our players available, so if we can keep it down to about five, that would be a good result."

The Mos are bolstered by the return of Damien Welch, Anthony Lennon and possibly defenceman Tim Smith.

Stuart Low is also in contention having missed the opening games due to work commitments. Peter Carey is missing.

Face-off at the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday is 5.15pm.
