Luton v Charlton

CHARLTON manager Alan Pardew is set to ring the changes for the club's Carling Cup, third round tie at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.

Full-backs Danny Mills and Chris Powell will be rested along with midfielders Andy Reid and Jose Semedo.

Long-term injury casualty Matt Holland could start for the first time this season while right-back Yassin Moutaouakil is set to return for the first time since damaging ankle ligaments at Stoke on August 18.

France midfield Therry Racon and striker Izale McLeod could also start.

"I need to protect the team because the priority is promotion," Pardew explained.

"The Luton tie presents an opportunity for the squad players to tell me that they deserve to play."
