Osborn's men return from South Wales pointless

Newport County 3 Bromley 1

Promotion-chasing Newport County caught the rub of the green as Gareth Williams' first half effort wasn't enough to grab Bromley a share of the spoils on Saturday afternoon.

Thw Welshmen went in front early on in the first half through Andy Gurney, before Williams levelled the game soon after.

But Griffin restored Newport's advantage and a second goal by Gurney after the break helped Newport run out 3-1 winners, despite Simon Osborn's men playing the majority of the better football throughout.

Bromley are now 11th in Blue Square South with three games to play.
