Onuora: 'I'm not moving to Mansfield

GILLINGHAM striker Iffy Onuora has moved to dismiss persistent speculation linking him with a move back to his old club Mansfield.

Onuora scored eight goals in 28 appearances for the Stags in the mid-90s, establishing himself as a big favourite before his first move to Priestfield in August, 1996.

But Onuora has stressed that he wants to remain at the club, though he is still waiting to finalise a new deal to replace his existing agreement which runs out next month.

He said: "I want to stay with Gillingham and hope I can sort out another contract. I keep hearing these stories about me going to Mansfield which are not true. I haven't spoken to anyone at Mansfield."
