THE Medway Messenger newspaper has signed a second three-year sponsorship deal with the Medway Sunday Football League.

The new agreement was signed at a reception at Gillingham’s Sturdee Club which was attended, among others, by Kent County FA president Norman Chatfield and his wife.

Alan Barty, chairman of the MSL, said: “We are indebted to the Medway Messenger, not only for their continued sponsorship, but for their acceptance of our patronage because we have not had a patron for six years.

“Their financial support has enabled our clubs to benefit from first aid courses in addition to providing every one with essential first aid kits.”

Medway Messenger editor Bob Dimond added: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with the Medway Sunday Football League.

“Over the past three years we've forged a strong relationship with the league which I’m sure will continue to prosper in the next three years.”
