West Brom 1 - 2 Charlton Athletic

TWO Danny Murphy goals maintained Charlton's 100 per cent record on their Premiership travels at West Brom on Saturday.

Murphy struck first from the penalty spot after just nine minutes after Jerome Thomas had been brought down in the area.

And he doubled the advantage before the break when he was on hand to knock in Dennis Rommedahl's cross at the far post.

The home side's new defender Curtis Davies gave his side hope by pulling one back with a close range header early in the second half.

Charlton: Andersen, Young, Perry, Hreidarsson, Powell, Kishishev, Smertin, Murphy, Rommedahl (Bothroyd 63), Thomas, Bent.
Subs Not Used: Myhre, El Karkouri, Spector, Hughes.
